The Metropolitan of Imvros and Tenedos, His Eminence Kyrillos, officiated on Tuesday at the Vespers service at the St. Nicholas Cathedral, on Imvros island’s settlement of Kastro, Greek for castle.
The service came on the occasion of the commemoration of the retrieval of the saint’s holy relics.
The settlement takes its name from a Byzantine-era fortress that once stood on the hill where the latter lies today.
