Metropolitan of Montenegro hospitalized for Covid-19; Church says he’s feeling well, not experiencing significant difficulties

The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro, His Eminence, Metropolitan Amphilochios, has been hospitalized after testing positive for the coronavirus, a Church statement announced this week.

The 82-year-old Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral is being treated in a Podgorica hospital. He spent the last few days in home isolation and under constant medical supervision, the statement added.

Metropolitan Amphilochios will remain in the hospital as long as the infection lasts, the statement read, adding that the hierarch feels well and is not experiencing significant difficulties.
