The Metropolitan of Nafpaktos and St. Vlassios, His Eminence Ierotheos, has issued a 42-page text entitled “The Orthodox Church’s Testimonial on Holy Communion”.
In his text, Ierotheos presents a detailed chronicle of ecclesiastical sources regarding the Holy Communion, also known as the Holy Eucharist. As he notes in the preface, the text is divided into two parts — the first deals with a theological answer to contemporary doctrinal objections, while the second part deals with the Orthodox Church’s millennia-old tradition in providing the sacrament of Holy Communion.
