The Moscow Patriarchate’s chairman of the Department of External Church Relations, His Eminence Hilarion, told the faithful by teleconference this week that the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church will decide how this year’s Easter services will be conducted, in relation to the Covid-19 crisis, and always in cooperation with state authorities.
His Eminence Hilarion, who is the Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, also advised the faithful who want confession to arrange a private meeting with a cleric, or even use the telephone or Skype.
