Missionary activities of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Nairobi
On Thursday, December 10, 2020, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, donated a photo copy machine to Kesengei boys High school . The Head teacher and staff were all happy and pleased to receive the gift from the Archbishop.
Then, His Eminence laid the foundation stone for the library being built at Bishop Makarios boys Kesengei. The building of library which has been planned for sometime is now in progress and good strides have been made. The Archbishop, students and teachers were very pleased by the progress of the school and the administration. His Eminence also gave out face masks to the students, staff and teachers and also presented the calendars for the New Year.
The Archbishop later went to the bless the new home of Fr. Martim. Such a blessed occasion as the Archbishop was proud to see his student, his priest, his son progress and be honoured and celebrated by His friends and neighbours. Fr. Martim, may God bless your new dwelling, and may God presence forever be in your new home and may He continue to bless you and your family. His Eminence was also honoured by some of the students who he has sponsored. Students who were introduced to him by Fr. Martim and he helped to finish their education and are now priests, doctors and have different jobs. God bless you all and may God CONTINUE to bless the hands and work of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios.
Finally, His Eminence visited the parish of St. Nicholas, which was still semi permanent. Now under new parish priest Frleontios Rono the progress is so great. The parishioners and their parish priest have started building a cathedral and the Archbishop was impressed and happy to see the great progress being made. Such a blessing and may God continue to bless this parish, parishioners and parish priest. Wonderful work.
His Eminence found the road was almost impossible to pass on his way to Kesengei Bishop Makarios boys. His truck was stuck and it had to pass a very slippery piece of road. It almost slipped into the same hole. But some villagers said they would help by pulling and pushing so it could get through. Adventures are always with His Eminence on his missionary trips.
