The Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow received an anonymous bomb threat on Friday, an informed source told Interfax.

“The city’s emergency services are heading to the site,” the source said.

This is the second such threat received by the cathedral this week, it said.

Several courts in Moscow and the office of a major Russian energy company have also received bomb threats, the source said.

An informed source told Interfax earlier that 350 facilities in Moscow had received anonymous bomb threats from Monday to Thursday this week, prompting the evacuation of around 55,000 people.

People were mostly evacuated from district courts and educational establishments, which have been receiving such threats on a daily basis.

The wave of bomb threats first swept Moscow and St. Petersburg on November 28. Courts were the first to receive such anonymous messages.
