On Monday, 21 September 2020, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau.

Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the Cathedral Dean, and the clergy of the holy shrine assisted the arch-pastor during the service.

The Feast of the Nativity of the Most Pure Mother of God and Virgin Mary is celebrated in sign of our veneration of the one became the bridge between man and God, and through whom the eternal Word of God gains flesh and became one of us. Through the Theotokos, God becomes man in order to restore the corrupted nature of humanity and to help man to regain the peace with the Creator.

During the service, the metropolitan prayed together with the clergy and lay church-goers for the peace in the world, asking God for protection against seen and unseen danger. The liturgical community prayed Virgin Mary for heavenly protection and fervent intercession for the world.

At the end of the liturgical service, the worshipers listened to a message of pastoral guidance and received the arch-pastor’s blessing.
