Nat’l conference on Greek education in America this Sat. in Flushing, NY

The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, will convene a national conference on the theme of Greek-language education, entitled: “The Vision for Greek Education in the United States.”

The conference will take place on Saturday at the facilities of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Flushing, NY, and will be attended by representatives of organizations of the Church and the Greek-American community, academics, educators and clergy from across America and the Archdiocese.

His Eminence Elpidophoros has expressed a particular interest in the course and future of Greek schools in America.

The Archbishop will give the keynote address, followed by presentations from educators and clergymen on the role of the Archdiocese in Greek education, the teaching of the Greek language, and the existing models of day, afternoon and charter schools.
