NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo took to his Instagram account shortly before the NBA all star game to post the following: “…God put us here and God makes no mistakes. A kid from Sepolia, Athens.”
Antetokounmpo, the child of Nigerian immigrants to Greece, was born in Athens, baptized into the Orthodox faith and raised in the Greek capital’s inner city neighborhood of Sepolia.
