Members of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece’s Holy Synod on Friday elected Archimandrite Ieronymos Karmas as the new Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aigialeias, an ecclesiastical bishopric in the northwest Peloponnese, in southern Greece.
Additionally, the Church of Greece’s hierarchs elected Archimandrite Ierotheos Kalogeropoulos as the new Metropolitan of Limnos and Aghios Efstratios, two islands in the northeast Aegean.
