Yesterday, 1 January 2024, Bishop Silvestros visited St Jude Thaddeus parish in Namutumba where he attended the Divine Liturgy that was co-served by Reverend Fathers; Paulas Kasule, Emmanuel Kungo and Andrew Wambwa_ to celebrate the feast of the Circumcision of our Lord Jesus Christ and the commemoration of saint Basil the Great.
In his remarks, the Hierach urged the congregation to always have the virtue of patience and avoid engaging in evil-leading acts as we kickstart the new year. He prayed that 2024 be filled with abundance of good deeds, repentence and hard work for prosperity; in order to fulfill the purpose of our creation.
After the service, His Grace was shown around the new church land that was recently purchased for the construction of a school.
St Jude Thaddeus is located at Nakawa-Bugiri village, Kagulu Sub-county, Busiki county, Namutumba district; about 48 miles way from Jinja city. It is under the pastoral guidance of Fr Andrew Wambwa as the parish priest.
