The Patriarch Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, this week joined the Consul General of Greece in Alexandria, Athanasios Kotsionis, as well as the Secretary-General of the Greek Community in the metropolis, Dimitris Kavouras, in a ceremony paying tribute to the benefactors of the community.
Moreover, the ceremony was accompanied by the cutting of the traditional New Year’s, or Vassilopita, pie for 2021 – albeit with a limited number of people due to the pandemic.
