Monday marks the one-year anniversary of the enthronement of the Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, His Beatitude Epiphanius, as the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
His Beatitude was enthroned after the Orthodox Church of the Ukraine was granted the Tomos of Autocephaly by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Orthodox Metropolitan of France, His Eminence Emmanuel, traveled to Kiev as the head of a five-member official delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate. His Eminence was accompanied by the Metropolitan of Adrianople, His Eminence Amphilochios, the Deputy Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Deacon Grigorios, the Elder Archimandrite and Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Simonos Petra, Elisseos, as well as Elder Archimandrite and Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Pantokratoros, Gabriel.
