Online Conference of Byzantine Musicology in honour of the Ecumenical Patriarch
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Tuesday, 1 August 2023, after the service of the Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos, received in audience Professor of the University of Macedonia, Father Nektarios Paris, Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, and Mr. Angelos Bentis, musicologist-professor of Byzantine music and Mr.Christos Tsogas, student of Father Nektarios.
This coming November, an online conference on Byzantine musicology will be held by the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia, and for this reason the professor asked the Patriarch, on behalf of the Dean of the University of Macedonia, to offer a greeting to begin the conference.
The conference will be dedicated to His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s 50 years as a Hierarch and 30 years as Ecumenical Patriarch.
