The Orthodox Academy of Crete was awarded a special distinction by the Athens-based Athanassios Botsis Journalism Promotion Foundation, during a ceremony on Wednesday evening.

The foundation honored the Academy for its half-century of work in the defense of universal human rights and its cultural activities.

The Botsis Foundation’s 36th annual awards ceremony was held in the presence of Greek President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
