Orthodox Church by the side of the quake-stricken in Albania

An initiative by Fr. Panteleimon Sota, a cleric of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania, has collected produce and fruit donated by Albanian farmers for the country’s quake-stricken residents.
Fr. Panteleimon, the parish priest in the coastal municipality of Divjakë, announced that the foodstuffs were transferred to the Monastery of St. Vlash of Durres, for delivery to people in need.

The Albanian Orthodox Church, and its Primate, His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios, have been at the side of those affected by last month’s destructive 6.4 on the Richter scale earthquake, which struck central coastal Albania last month.
