Orthodox Church of Moldova – Divine Liturgy on the 6th Sunday after the Resurrection of Christ, celebrated at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau

Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Square on the 6th Sunday after Holy Pascha.

In the middle of the church-goers, the Metropolitan and Cathedral clergy prayed for the peace in the world, for the health of the living and blessed repose of the departed.

The Gospel Reading speaks about Lord Jesus Christ healing a blind-born man. The Gospel significantly shows that the blind man who was illuminated by Christ, gained better eye-sight than the teachers and scribes of Israel, who remained blind even when their eyes saw perfectly. In other words, one can gain spiritual vision only if his heart is open and directed towards God, who is the true light.
