Orthodox Diocese of Gulu and Eastern Uganda – Bishop Silvester issues message regarding Independence Day of Uganda

9TH OCTOBER-HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY UGANDA.

As we glorify God and celebrate the 58 years of independance as a Nation, apart from the neccesity of hard work for Economic growth and stability, as Ugandans we ought to also focus on becoming more civilised people/individuals, being more human, and the Church is here giving the answer and the way, which is the Gospel message of our Lord and God Jesus Christ. We should know that our independance and happiness will be found in not only saying by mouth that we believe in God and believe in being good but by doing the Will of God and living in accordance to what we say we believe in.
