Bucharest, 10 December 2024
His Beatitude John X,
Patriarch of Antioch and All the East
Your Beatitude,
In the context of the recent events in Syria, we would like to assure Your Beatitude of our deepest solidarity with Orthodox Christians under your spiritual and canonical jurisdiction, as well as with all those suffering from the ongoing violence and conflicts.
We pray the All-Merciful God to protect all Christian communities in the country, keeping them steadfast in faith and hope. At the same time, we pray that our Lord Jesus Christ may grant peace and stability to people in Syria, so that those who have been displaced may return to their homeland and contribute to the rebuilding and strengthening of their communities.
With fraternal love in Christ the Lord,
† Daniel
Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
