His Beatitude Patriarch John X met with the Board of Directors of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development, the charitable arm of the Patriarchate, with the participation of the coordinators of the Syrian regions and governorates in which the department operates, at the Patriarchate in Damascus.
During the meeting, His Beatitude focused on the need to deal positively with the new circumstances that Syria is going through and to continue providing support to all Syrians of all denominations and affiliations, especially that the needs are increasing more than ever.
His Beatitude stressed that the Church was, is, and will remain a pioneer in humanitarian work, as an essential component of the Syrian fabric that cannot be ignored.
