The Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, on Thursday received the chief of the Hellenic Navy general staff, Vice-Adm. Nikolaos Tsounis, at the Patriarchal diocese in Cairo.
Vice-Adm. Tsounis is in Mideast country for talks with his naval counterparts, as well as to tour a new military base near the southeast coastal city on Berenice, on the Red Sea.
Berenice Troglodytica was a well-known diocese of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in the first centuries of Christianity.
