The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, on the Sunday of Orthodoxy announced that St. Joseph the Hesychast will be included in the Romanian Church’s calendar of saints, and that a fresco painting of the Saint will be painted at the National Cathedral, or People’s Salvation Cathedral, in Bucharest.
His Beatitude also mentioned that the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi, recently conveyed a Holy Icon of St. Joseph the Hesychast, on which the fresco will be based.
