Patriarch of Russia Kirill receives visit by Vladimir Putin on occasion of the anniversary of his enthronement

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, on Tuesday received Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Patriarchal residence in Moscow, on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the former’s enthronement on the throne of the Russian Orthodox Church.
On his part, Putin expressed his best wishes to Patriarch Kirill, underlining, among others, that “…this is a special event in the life of the Russian Orthodox Church and also the entire country because the role of the Church in the life of society is growing and it has become very important in recent years. Everything you are doing to promote peace and harmony in Russia, in our country, and to maintain social well-being in society is extremely important for our country.”
