The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije, over the weekend officiated at a blessing service of the restored Church of St. Nicholas in Vukovar, eastern Croatia.
In his sermon afterwards, His Holiness underlined that there is no other path except prayer and forgiveness, while calling on the assembled faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church to remember community’s victims in prayer, as well as the victims of their neighbors.
The Primate of the Serbian Church was accompanied by bishops of the Church as well as the Moscow Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Budapest and All Hungary, His Eminence Hilarion.
