On the 30th of July 2024, Metropolitan Sergius, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan of Singapore and Southeast Asia, visited the newly formed community in honour of the Holy First-Faithful Apostles Peter and Paul in Semarang (Central Java Province, Indonesia), where he celebrated a prayer service.
The congregation warmly welcomed the Archpastor. After the service, Metropolitan Sergius continued communicating with the faithful, during which further plans for the organisation of a full parish life were outlined.
Metropolitan Sergius also donated an icon of the Saviour to the community, reports the Exarchate’s Telegram channel.
