The Patriarchate of Georgia has set up a working group to look into hate speech and critical remarks about Church in the media, Father Andria Jaghmaidze said.

“The working group has been set up. The group is composed of representatives of Patriarchate, NGOs and other stakeholders. We intend to analyze international experience how to regulate the TV space, to prevent aggression, violence and obscenity that are coming from there, “said Father Andria Jaghmaidze.

When asked whether they will address the Parliament “at the level of law”, Andria Jaghmaidze replied that “if this group works effectively, we will come to this point”.
