Patron Saint-day of Saint Demetrius in New Belgrade
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church dedicated to this saint in New Belgrade on 8 November 2019, the feast day of Holy Great Martyr Demetrius.
His Holiness was welcomed by the church principal protopresbyter-staurophor Rajko Nedic with the local clergy, the faithful and guests.
At the Divine Liturgy Patriarch Irinej promoted presbyters Aleksandar Bajic and Vojislav Kostic into the rank of an archpriest.
Director and Deputy Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, Dr. Mileta Radojevic and Dr. Marko Nikolic, attended the worship as well.
