Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has refrained from commenting on reports saying that an image of Vladimir Putin is being used in the interior decoration of the main church of the Russian Armed Forces, which is being built in the Moscow Region.
Peskov said he is not familiar with sketches of the decoration of the church’s interior and does not know if this information is true. “I don’t know if this information is true. I’m not familiar with the plans, the sketches of the interior decoration of the church,” he said.
Peskov said there is a fund handling the construction of this church, and the project is being implemented by the Russian Defense Ministry. He recommended seeking comments there.
The main church of the Russian Armed Forces is being built in Patriot Park in the Moscow Region.
