On Sunday, 16 June 2024, the Sunday of the Holy Fathers of the 1st Ecumenical Council, a Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy took place at the Cathedral Church of Saint George of the Greeks in Venice, and was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia, who was joined in concelebration by His Eminence Metropolitan Polykarpos of Italy and His Grace Bishop Georgios of Krateia, on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the completion of the historic Church of Saint George of the Greeks (San Giorgio dei Greci)
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a memorial service was held for the repose of the souls of the late founders, benefactors, renovators and Priests of the Church.
