Restoration begins at historic St. George Greek Orthodox cathedral of Suez

Restoration works have finally begun at the historic St. George Greek Orthodox cathedral in the Egyptian port city of Suez.
The specific church was bombed and sustained damage in the Six-Day war in 1967, falling into disrepair in the subsequent decades.
The works are the initiative of the Greek community of Cairo, which merged with the Suez community in 1979.
