Restoration works have been completed on the Cathedral of the Panaghia Kalamiotissa, located the eastern Aegean island of Kalymnos. The cathedral sustained damages in a July 2017 earthquake.
Repairs and restoration were based on a detailed engineering study, and the total repair bill reached 300K euros, covered in its entirety by Kalymnos benefactor Yannis Halikos.
The Metropolitan of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalaia, His Emince Paisios, thanked Mr. Halikos on the behalf of the Metropolis for his very significant donation.
