Romanian Orthodox Patriarch to prayerfully celebrate name day
His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will celebrate his name day on Monday, December 17, 2018, when the Church commemorates the feast day of the Holy Prophet Daniel.
On this occasion, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Sts Constantine and Helen Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest.
At 12.00, a Te Deum service will be officiated as a sign of gratitude brought to God for the protection and help bestowed upon the Patriarch of Romania in the service of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Romanian people.
His Beatitude’s high stewardship culminated this year with the joy of the consecration of the altar of the National Cathedral, when Romania marked the 1918 Great Union Centennial.
His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will offer all those present his pastoral letter for the feast of the Nativity of the Lord 2018 entitled ‘Angels and shepherds proclaim the joy of the Nativity of the Lord.’
