The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, issued a homily on the occasion of the beginning of a period of fasting before Christmas.
His Beatitude noted that charity cannot be simply a fleeting emotion, but must be conducted with a program.
Daniel added that “…The Gospel calls upon us to help our neighbor with a program, not just in an isolated moment of emotion.”
