Romanian Patriarch proclaimed honorary citizen of Bucharest

The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, was proclaimed as an honorary citizen of Bucharest this week, during an event held at the Patriarchal residence.
Bucharest Mayor Gabriela Firea presented the Patriarch with a relevant proclamation by the city’s municipal council, adding that “… this act, Your Beatitude, is trivial, compared to what you contribute to the Church and society on a daily basis”.

On his part, the Romanian Patriarch said he accepts the honor on behalf of all of the clergy and associates of the Church of Romania.
