Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic accompanied visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei on a tour of the St. Sava Cathedral in Belgrade on Tuesday, where the Russian delegation laid flowers on the grave of the reposed in the Lord Serbian Patriarch Irinej.
On the occasion, Lavrov read out a letter by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the completion of works on the cathedral, while extending his congratulations to his Serbian counterpart and the Serbian people.
A good portion of the mosaic works at the St. Sava Cathedral were funded by Russian donations and undertaken by Russian master craftsmen.
