Russian Patriarch receives visiting Moldova president in Moscow
The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, on Thursday received the visiting President of Moldova, Igor Dodon. The meeting was attended by ambassador of Moldova to the Russian federation, Andrei Neguta, and the chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for Church’s Society and Mass Mediа Relations, Vladimir Legoida.
According to reports, the Russian Patriarch noted during the meeting that “… the fact that Moldova, among European countries, has, possibly, the highest percentage of active faithful, shows the deep religious roots that connect the past with the present. The deep faith of the Moldavians helps them, among others, to deal with life and its daily difficulties.”
