Saturday of the Souls at the Theological School of Halki
His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos presided over the Matins and the Divine Liturgy on the Saturday of the Souls, 9 March 2024, in the chapel of the Theological School of Halki.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the memorial service for the repose of the departed Orthodox Christians was performed. Subsequently, the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos performed a trisagion service at the church cemetery of the School for the repose of the founders, school committee members, scholars, teachers and alumni, as well as the Patriarchs buried there.
Later, Bishop Kassianos warmly greeted a group of forty teachers and students from the 1st General Lyceum of Florina at the Church of the Holy Trinity. He extended a heartfelt welcome to the Theological School, elaborating on its rich history and significant contributions to both the Church and the Nation. Teachers and students were then guided through the classrooms, the Synodikon Room, and the historical Library of the School.
