Services in memory of Venerable Iakovos of Evia, the New Ascetic

The Church today venerates the memory of the Venerable Iakovos of Evia, the New Ascetic, who was canonized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in November 2017.
An Orthros service and Divine Liturgy in memory of the saint was held on Sunday at the Monastery of St. David the Elder of Evia, where St. Iakovos (Jacob) was the Abbot for many years until His Repose in the Lord in 1991.

The services were officiated by the Metropolitan of Halkida, His Eminence Chrysostomos.
