Sister of Ecumenical Patriarch, Zacharo Anastasiadou, passes away in Athens
The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Wednesday afternoon attended a Trisagion prayer service at the Patriarchal Church of St. George for the repose of the soul of the late Zacharo Anastasiadou, his sister.
The service was attended by hierarchs of the Patriarchal Throne, staff of the Phanar-based Patriarchate, many faithful and pilgrims from North America.
Anastasiadou passed away at an Athens hospital.
Among others, the Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, conveyed his condolences to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Thursday.
