The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, this week referred to the installation of the marble sidings at the under-construction Church of St. Nicholas in Manhattan’s Ground Zero.
The marble was imported from Greece, and is of the same deposit used for the construction of the Parthenon some 2,500 years ago, namely, the Pentelic variety, taken from the eponymous mountain overlooking Athens from the north.
