Greek authorities have accepted public health officials’ recommendations and ordered stricter measures to in the greater Athens area to prevent exposure to the coronavirus outbreak.
The development comes after a surge in the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases and a spike in the number of people being treated in intensive care units.
In terms of measures that affect the Church in the greater Athens area, a ceiling of 20 people has been mandated for weddings, baptisms and funerals, along with affiliated events and receptions.
