The photographic exhibition titled “Our Fathers and Grandfathers” was on Patriarchate’s Hill for approximately thirty days. Despite the photography being removed from physical display, we invite you to embark on a virtual tour of the exhibition.
The Basilica News Agency curated “Our parents and grandparents” photo exhibition from October 18 to November 22. The exhibition was held in conjunction with the Solemn Year of pastoral care for the elderly and to celebrate the agency’s 15th anniversary of its online mission.
The pilgrims who attended the festivities in honour of Saint Demetrius the New were captivated by the exhibition, which was also covered by the national and international press.
The exhibition of sixty photographs by photojournalists Raluca Ene and Mircea Florescu depicting portraits of the elderly taken over time served not only to inform Romanian society about the seniors’ significant role but also raise awareness of the challenges that this demographic faces.
