The academic year of the Faculty of Theology of Sofia University began

The Divine Liturgy marked the beginning of the new 2019/2020 academic academic year at the Theological Faculty of Sofia University. With the blessing of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte the Holy Liturgy was celebrated by His Holiness the Bishop of Melnik Gerasim.

Bishop Gerasim sent greetings and blessings on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte. In his congratulatory address, he says, “We send you pastoral blessings and heartfelt wishes on the start of the new academic year… Your mission is blessed because it is both spiritual and educational, responsible and holy. You have been given to be the bearers of the light of knowledge, a good example and model for all who, by following God’s commandments, seek salvation and eternal life”.

The dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Ivaylo Naydenov thanked Bishop Gerasim for the solemn worship. He also wished a successful academic year to all faculty and students of the Faculty of Theology.
