The Feast Day of Saint Gregory the Theologian, Archbishop of Constantinople, at the Phanar
On Thursday, 15 January 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated from the throne at the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George during the Divine Liturgy on the feast day of Saint Gregory the Theologian and Archbishop of Constantinople, which was served by Grand Protosyncellus Archimandrite Gregory, who was celebrating his name day.
The members of the Holy and Sacred Synod, as well as other Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne, His Grace Metropolitan-Elect Iakovos of Mexico and clergy and many faithful also attended the feast day Liturgy.
The Holy Relics of Saint Gregory were also placed on the soleas for veneration by the faithful.
