The mystery of the cat

I’m going to tell you the mystery of the cat now:

The cat can’t love us as much as we love it. Animals are not persons and can’t respond on the same level as our love.

Of course, we must love creation as a gift of God, but not project our opinions and interpretations on it, attributing to them the experiences and feelings that they don’t have.

Only another person can love a person so that both feel fulfilled.

The problem that arises, however, is that human beings are sinners and then, because of wounds caused in society, we sometimes turn too much towards animals.

The solution is not the refuge in the relationship with the animals but the improvement of our relationship with God, the perfect communion of the perfect persons. Only then will we really be able to overcome our loneliness.

So, we need to have the necessary discernment in our relationship with animals and with others; however, we must put as first priority our prayer and our search for God in our day-to-day lives.
