The new Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, Mr. Konstantinos Koutras, accompanied by his associates, paid an official visit yesterday, Friday, 17 November 2023, at the Theological School of Halki.
The Consul General, during his first visit to the Theological School of Halki since taking office, was welcomed by the Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, who welcomed him to the historic spiritual institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, referring to it’s long history and invaluable contribution to the Church and the Nation.
In response, Mr. Koutras expressed his admiration for the history and intellectual wealth of the School, while he showed particular interest in the issues that concern it.
Subsequently, the new Consul General was guided to the chapel of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, the classrooms, the historic Library, and the other areas of the School, and attended the luncheon served in his honour.
