The Sunday of the 10 Lepers at the Theological School of Halki
On the Sunday of the 10 Lepers, 21 January 2024, in the chapel of Saint Germanos, Patriarch of Constantinople, which is located in the Narthex of the Chapel of the Theological School of Halki, the Resurrection Matins and Divine Liturgy took place, officiated by the Abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos.
After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, being the feast day of Saints Maximus the Confessor and Neophytos the Martyr, a Trisagion Memorial Service were read by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos, for the repose of the souls of the late Patriarchs Neophytos VIII, buried in the cemetery of the School, and Maximos V, as well as for the Late Hierarchs, Metropolitan Maximos of Stavroupolis, the last Schoolmaster of Halki, Metropolitan Maximos of Laodicea and Metropolitan Maximos of Sardes, and the curators, Metropolitan Maximos of Serres, Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh, and Metropolitan Maximos of Eumenea, as well as of the blessed Athanasios Simitsioglou, an old resident of Halki.
