Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson call on people to propose ideas for ‘Greece 2021’ commemoration – (VIDEO)

Academy Award-winning star Tom Hanks and his wife, Hollywood producer Rita Wilson, recently unveiled a one-minute video calling on viewers to visit the “Greece 2021” webpage and submit proposals for events and actions to commemorate next year’s 200th anniversary of the beginning of the Greek War of Independence.

Hanks and Wilson, who is of Greek descent, were recently granted Greek citizenship by the country’s president of the republic, while both are active parishioners of a Greek Orthodox community in the Los Angeles area.

The well-known couple also called on their friends to visit Greece.
