Greek culture Minister Lina Mendoni and US ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt, on Wednesday signed the renewal of a memorandum of understanding between the US and Greece regarding efforts to combat the smuggling of antiquities, relics and works of arts.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Pyatt stressed what he called a great, wide-ranging discussion with the minister on cultural programs and exchange, while also referring to strategic dialogue on the priorities and planning for celebrations in honor of Greece’s bicentennial.
He stated “…Looking forward to continuing to strengthen the ties between our two peoples”
