Venerable tradition in Constantinople’s Neochori district on feast day of St. Tryphon revived
An age-old tradition of the Great Metropolis of Constantinople was again revived this year, after several decades, in the Neochori district, in veneration of the memory of St. Tryphon, and held on the saint’s feast day on Monday.
The service was celebrated at the Metochion, or glebe, of the Holy Sepulcher in Neochori, where an icon and a holy relic of St. Tryphon are persevered in the Cathedral of St. George.
Archbishop Nektarios of Anthidonas, the vicar of the Holy Sepulchre in Constantinople, officiated at the Divine Liturgy
